Speech Language Therapy
The California Avenue School Speech-Language Pathologists are responsible for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.
Therapists provide both individual and group speech therapy, to meet the individualized needs of students with communication deficits. The Speech-Language Pathologists are highly trained to work with students presenting with a variety of disabilities including autism, apraxia, Down Syndrome, fluency, and intellectual impairment.
Parents interested in pursuing an initial speech-language assessment for their preschool child are encouraged to contact Alison Welch at California Avenue School to complete a phone questionnaire addressing their concerns.
