Speech Language Therapy

The California Avenue School Speech-Language Pathologists are responsible for the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of communication disorders.

Therapists provide both individual and group speech therapy to meet the individualized needs of students with communication deficits. The Speech-Language Pathologists are highly trained to work with students presenting with a variety of disabilities including autism, apraxia, Down Syndrome, fluency, and intellectual impairment.

Parents interested in pursuing an initial speech-language assessment for their preschool child are encouraged to contact the Speech Dept at California Avenue School to complete a referral packet addressing their concerns.
